Haredi suspected running over toddler in Ramot remanded for 5 days

The 19-year-old Jerusalem haredi suspected of running over and seriously injuring an 18-month-old toddler in Ramot, was remanded Thursday for a further five days in custody. The young man, who doesn't hold a driver's license, sped away from the scene of Wednesday evening's incident, but he was later arrested in the city's Mea She'arim neighborhood. The toddler's nanny was lightly injured in the accident.
