WASHINGTON — Lebanon's prime minister, Saad Hariri, will meet President Barack Obama at the White House on May 24, Obama's press secretary said Wednesday.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Hariri's visit was "a symbol of the close and historic relationship between Lebanon and the United States." The visit will be Hariri's first as prime minister.
Gibbs said Obama and Hariri's discussions will include "a broad range of mutual goals in support of Lebanon's sovereignty and independence."
