Health Ministry issues swine flu warning to holiday synagogue-goers

The Ministry of Health on Thursday issued a health warning on Thursday to people planning to attend synagogue services during the High Holidays, in an attempt to slow the spread of the swine flu (H1N1) virus. Guidelines issued by the ministry instructed worshipers to avoid bodily contact, kissing holy objects and Torah scrolls and using shared towels in bathrooms of synagogues.
