Health Ministry signs second deal for purchase of swine flu vaccine

The Health Ministry on Saturday signed its second deal with a pharmaceutical company for the purchase of swine flu vaccine. The deal with Swiss company Novartis was approved by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Deputy Health Minister Ya'acov Litzman. The ministry said it would consider signing deals with more companies, according to needs. Earlier this month, the ministry signed an agreement with French company Sanofi Pasteur, obtaining options for the purchase of NIS 7 million worth of the vaccine.
