Opposition leader Isaac Herzog (Labor) said Sunday that the resignation of Environment Minister Amir Peretz (Hatnua) spells "the beginning of the end" of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government.

"It is clear to everyone that the gong has sounded. Amir Peretz's place, like that of the Hatnua faction, is in the Center-Left camp which the Labor Party will lead in the next elections until the government is changed," Herzog said.
