Hezbollah says opposition will not topple Assad militarily

BEIRUT - Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Tuesday that the Syrian opposition fighting the forces of President Bashar Assad will not be able to topple him militarily.

Nasrallah, a staunch ally of Assad, said in a televised speech that Syria's allies in the region and the world will not allow it to fall "in the hands of Americans, Israel and extremists".
