According to Palestinian sources, an IAF airstrike hit open territories in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF stated that the strike came as a response to three rockets fired at Beersheba from the Gaza Strip only hours before a cease-fire was due to expire on Tuesday night.

An Israeli official reported that the Israeli delegation had been called back from Cairo.

Reuters contributed to this report.
