IAF warplanes destroyed on Monday evening an armed missile launcher in the northern Gaza Strip aimed at Israel. The army reported a direct hit. On Monday afternoon Palestinians fired a Kassam rocket and a mortar shell at Israel. The rocket apparently exploded within the Gaza Strip. Palestinians also fired two Kassam rockets overnight Sunday at the Western Negev. One of the rockets exploded in an open field in the Sdot Negev regional council. No casualties or damages were reported in the attacks. In related news, IDF soldiers on Monday came under fire during a routine patrol of the Gaza border fence. The troops returned fire. In addition, an anti-tank rocket was fired at another army patrol. In both incidents, no casualties or damage were reported.
