IDF announces series of new brigade commanders

The IDF announced a series of new appointments of commanders who will take charge of infantry brigades, as well as a reshuffle of other senior officers within the army.
According to the changes, which await the final approval of Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, Col. Nimrod Aloni will become head of Paratroopers infantry brigade, and Col. Guy Hazot will become head of the Kfir infantry brigade.
Col. Yaron Finkelman will become the new commander of the Givati infantry brigade, and Col. Amos Hacohen will become head of the Nahal infantry brigade.
Col. Dan Noiman has been named as the new commander of the 7th Armored Division.
Changes are also due in the command level of the IDF's main training centers.
Col. Amir Ephshtein will head the Armored Corps school, and Col.
Yaniv Alaluf will become commander of Training Base 1. Col. Eran Karisi will bcome commander of the Engineering Corps school. Col. Amit Fisher will become head of the Infantry Corps school.
Additionally, Col. Yaron Lavi will become head of the Fire Formation (reserve) infantry division.
In further appointments, officers at rank of colonel will be promoted to the rank of brigadier-general. These include the naming of Col.
Rafi Miloa as head of the Adom Formation (80th territorial division, a part of the Southern Command).
Col. Mordechai Kahana will become chief combat intelligence collection officer, and Col. Ronen Marley will become head of the Northern Command's headquarters.
