Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Benjamin Netanyahu announced that IDF forces began the process of neutralizing the four Hezbollah tunnels located on the northern border as part of Operation Northern Shield on Thursday.

"We are continuing our efforts to neutralize the terror tunnels, and at this time we are exerting special measures to neutralize them," Netanyahu said. We will continue to act very aggressively against Iran's attempts to establish itself in Syria."

The neutralization is being carried out by special means that does not include an explosion and cannot constitute grounds for retaliation against Israel.
