IDF counters reports of death of boy off Gaza coast

The IDF early Saturday morning denied reports that an Israeli combat ship caused the death of a 15-year-old Palestinian working on a fishing boat, Army Radio reported.

According to the report, "the Army does not recognize the event" in question that was mentioned in earlier reports.

Previously on Friday, Palestinian news agency Ma'an carried a story unconfirmed by other sources that a 15-year-old boy was killed after an IDF ship fired at the fishing boat he was on, causing it to capsize and leading to his death by drowning.
