The IDF fired at and lightly wounded a Palestinian rioter on Sunday following a disturbance on the Gaza border fence, an army spokeswoman said.

"A group of Palestinians approached the fence and hurled rocks at IDF soldiers. They began sabotaging the fence," the spokeswoman added.

Soldiers called out warnings and fired in the air in an effort to disperse the rioters, but their warnings were ignored, she stated. A soldier then fired at the legs of a man identified as a ringleader. He was lightly wounded.
