The IDF fired upon Syrian army positions near the Israeli border in the Golan Heights on Sunday, the IDF spokesperson's office reported. Syrian forces had been working to fortify a military outpost in the buffer zone, in violation of ceasefire agreements, and an IDF tank fired deterring shots in response.
