The IDF said Monday that a group of Palestinians gathered around the border fence separating northern Gaza and began sabotaging the fence.

IDF soldiers tried to distance them from the area, but their calls were ignored, the army added. Finally, shots were fired at the legs of one of the men seen damaging the fence.

Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported that one man, identified as 19-year-old Adbullah Maaroof, was hit in the leg.
