IDF soldier Private Aharon Benita, from Beitar Illit, who was killed in Saturday evening's stabbing attack in Jerusalem's Old City, will be posthumously raised to the rank of corporal, the IDF stated on Sunday.

The IDF said that Benita would be buried in a military funeral at the Mount Herzl military cemetery in the capital at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, however media reports suggested that the victim's family wants him to have a non-military funeral at the Mount of Olives cemetery.
