IDF soldiers shot and injured a Gazan man in the legs after he approached the border with Israel and ignored warnings to stop on Saturday, the army said.

The suspect did not heed verbal warnings, ignored shots fired in the air, and continued to approach the Israeli border fence from southern Gaza, an IDF spokeswoman said.

Soldiers openes fire, hitting the suspect in the legs. After he remained near the fence, soldiers called in an evacuation team which took the Palestinian man to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva for medical treatment.
