An IDF soldier was indicted for passing classified information about Israeli troop movements on the Golan Heights to hostile elements in Syria, authorities announced on Thursday.

Military censors permitted Israeli news outlets to report on Thursday that the soldier, who serves in an infantry combat unit, will be charged by an IDF tribunal with passing secret information and harming national security.
