IDF soldiers shot and wounded a man who approached an Iron Dome anti-missile battery outside Eilat on Thursday and refused their calls to stop, the IDF said Thursday.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's Office, the man was wounded and taken to Yoseftal hospital by arresting police officers, who have opened an investigation into the incident.

They were not able to say who the man was or if he was armed at the time.
