IDF forces shot a Palestinian after he approached Israeli soldiers near Ariel in the West Bank Tuesday and reached into his pocket for what appeared to be a knife, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.

He was wounded and treated by an IDF force before being evacuated to the hospital.

The suspect is one of a number of Palestinians suspected of attempting to hit a fence near Ariel Tuesday.
