The IDF will impose a closure on the West Bank from late Saturday night ahead of Yom Kippur, according to a Saturday evening army statement. The closure will be lifted late Monday night. During the closure period, the IDF will allow Palestinians to enter Israel for humanitarian purposes and for medical treatment. The IDF statement added that the army was acting in defense of all residents of the state of Israeli, while taking Palestinians' lives into consideration.
