IDF to prepare for September Palestinian statehood bid

The IDF is preparing for a Palestinian unilateral declaration of statehood in September by bracing for nationwide protests and disorderly conduct, Army Radio reported Monday.

Initially, only select units in the army were ordered to prepare for September events, but following Naksa Day riots, all army units are now expected to participate in preparations.

On Sunday, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the Palestinian Liberation Organization decided to make official their plan to take their case for statehood to the United Nations in September.
