The Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) called on the public to refrain from using electric appliances until 9 p.m. Saturday due to shortages caused by stormy winter weather.

The public was asked not to use washing machines and electric water heaters between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., in an IEC message published Saturday evening.
