A resident of Beit J'an and warden in the Israel Prison Service is suspected of killing his daughter by shooting her in the head. The man brought the daughter's body to a police station in Carmiel himself. According to witnesses, he gave a police officer his handgun and proclaimed: "I shot my daughter." Magen David Adom paramedics on the scene had nothing to do but pronounce the girl dead. The man was immediately arrested and interrogated. The preliminary investigation revealed that the murder may have been carried out as an honor killing.
