An incendiary balloon exploded while in the air over a farm in the Eshkol Regional Council.
Farmers in a field identified the balloon in the air, saw and heard the explosion.

Eshkol security personnel are continuing to monitor the situation and search for other balloons they may have landed in the area.Meanwhile, earlier in the afternoon, a security officer outside a kindergarten at a Moshav near the Gaza border shot down a suspected incendiary balloon. The balloon was seen in the air close to the kindergarten.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

Since March 2018, thousands of incendiary balloons and kites have been sent into southern Israel by terrorists in the Gaza Strip. This has amounted to millions of shekels of damage to agricultural land in the area.
