Incoming UTJ MK Porush: Army does not need haredim

Meir Porush, an incoming MK (United Torah Judaism), said that the Yesh Atid party's demand to conscript haredim is meant to harm the Haredi community and is not meant to promote the equitable distribution of military service, Israel Radio reported.
Porush said that Yesh Atid's demand could divide the nation. He opined that the army does not need the haredim, however, those who do not study Torah should join up if the army calls upon them.
