Indonesian militants found guilty in terror plot

JAKARTA, Indonesia — Six men have been found guilty of being part of a terror cell that allegedly plotted attacks on Western hotels and embassies in Indonesia.
The men were sentenced to up to nine years in jail Monday after their conviction at a court in the capital, Jakarta.
The six were among more than 70 suspects who have been captured or killed since February, when authorities uncovered their training camp in Indonesia's westernmost province of Aceh.
Police say the group was made up of Muslim extremists from several terror networks, including Jemaah Islamiyah, blamed for a series of bombings that have left more than 160 people dead in Indonesia since 2002.
