"Resistance for the freedom of Palestine is the best axis for the unity of the world of Islam," the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said on Sunday, Iranian news channel Press TV reported.

Saeed Jalili told Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzouk, the deputy chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, that the strategy of resistance can "prevent conflicts in the Muslim world," Press TV reported.

Marzouk, for his part, stressed Iran’s role in solving conflicts in the Islamic world and praised Tehran’s efforts to end Syria unrest, according to Press TV. The Hamas official added that there is no military solution for the Syria conflict.
