Iran has offered financial assistance to the families of Palestinian terrorists involved in stabbing and car-ramming attacks against Israelis in recent month, Military Intelligence chief Maj.-Gen. Herzl Halevi was heard saying on Monday.

Army Radio obtained a recording of remarks given by Halevi in recent days in which he is heard saying that Israel is providing Gaza with materials that the authorities here know are being used to build tunnels.

“Every day, we send in 900 huge trucks carrying materials even though we know that some of those materials are used to build tunnels and for terrorism,” Halevi said.
