Iran willing to work with US to fight Islamic State

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei confirmed that his country will work together with the United States to fight the Islamic State in military operations, Israel Radio reported on Friday.

Iran, a Shi'ite state, views ISIS, an extremist Sunni Islamic organization, as a serious threat. The nation also is usually opposes American intervention in Iraq. Details of what co-operation would entail have not been released.
