Iranian lawmaker speaks in Damascus ahead of joint offensive

An Iranian lawmaker met with the Syrian Parliament speaker in Damascus on Wednesday in the build-up to a joint operation against insurgents in northwest Syria.

After the meeting the head of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, spoke to media regarding the new coalition."America and its allies were not taking this development seriously and treated it as a joke. That is why the new coalition and new team started has entered the stage and is serious. This means that this could be part of a new development in the region," he said.
