Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Sunday in Tehran that Gazans were the clear winners of Operation Protective Edge, according to a report by Iran's Fars News.

"The recent victory in Gaza showed that the Muslims are strong and have many capabilities and can challenge any enemy and defend themselves," he said.

He added that the "Zionist regime" fell from its place as a symbol of Western power due to the war. "In the Palestinian issue, the Muslims fortunately have the upper hand."
