BAGHDAD - Iraq's airforce carried out "deadly" airstrikes on Islamic State positions inside neighboring Syria on Thursday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi's office said.
The airstrikes were launched "from the Iraqi side of the border," it said in a statement.
