Six people were killed and eight wounded in a market blast north of Baghdad, an Iraqi police official said Tuesday. Major Ghalib al-Kharki, the media official in Diyala provincial police, said the blast took place in the town of Buhriz, about 35 miles (60 kilometers) north of Baghdad at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday. There were few other details of the blast.
