According to local media, Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted at least one rocket fired from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory.

Rocket alarm sirens blared across communities surrounding the Gaza Strip, confirmed an IDF spokesperson.

Earlier today, additional rockets were fired from the Palestinian enclave and Israeli responded with tank fire and air strikes on Hamas targets.

This is a developing story. More details to follow.
