Israel Aerospace Industries gets new chairman

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) formally named Rafi Maor as its newchairman of the board on Monday.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon and Finance Minister Yair Lapid bothapproved the appointment, after the board of directors voted for Maorto take up the position earlier this year.

"I am privileged to have been selected as chairman of the board ofdirectors of IAI, Israel's largest aerospace company. Knowing IAI’sstrengths, its employees and management, I am convinced that togetherwe can successfully take on the challenges ahead by using IAI's uniqueoriginality and innovation and wide array of activities," Maor said.

Maor was previously Chairman of ECI Telecom.
