Engineering forces as well as a civilian building manager have begun evacuating Jewish settlers from multiple structures in the Givat Habaladim outpost, located in the West Bank north of Ramallah.

Hundreds of policemen and soldiers began demolishing agricultural farms near Kochav Hashahar on Wednesday morning.“As of now, one farm has been evacuated and the second farm is being evacuated,” a spokesperson for the area said in a statement. “The farms were established near Kochav Hashahar in order to prevent further takeover by dozens of Bedouin encampments in the vicinity of state lands in the area.”

The settlers claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been busy evacuating Jews in the last few weeks, whereas there are hundreds of “illegal” Bedouin villages that have been left alone during the recent evacuations.

“In contrast to the dozens of illegal Bedouin encampments that are developing in the area undisturbed, and the failure to implement the promise to evacuate nearby Khan al-Ahmar, [Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu has chosen to destroy the Jewish-owned farms that were established to stop the Bedouin takeover,” the residents said.

Two people have been arrested since the start of Wednesday’s outpost evacuation.
