Israel records second straight win in Andorra to begin Euro 2016 qualification

Israel made it six points out of six in Euro 2016 qualifying Group B on Monday night, with Omer Damari (above) netting a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory at Andorra.
After opening its qualifying campaign with an encouraging 2-1 road win at Cyprus, the blue-and-white made hard work of beating its amateur rivals from the small mountainous principality in the Pyrenees.
Israel got off to the perfect start when Damari gave it the lead after less than three minutes when his cross accidentally found the back of the net. However, the hosts, who have now lost 43 consecutive qualifiers, were gifted a penalty by Romanian referee Cristian Balaj and Ildefons Lima equalized from the spot in the 15th minute.
Damari ensured the blue-and-white was ahead at the break with his 41st-minute strike and completed his hat-trick and wrapped up all three points eight minutes from time before Tomer Hemed scored from the spot in stoppage time. In other Group B matches on Monday, Bosnia and Belgium drew 1-1, while Wales beat Cyprus 2-1.
