Israel says it thwarts hackers from cyber attack on hospitals

Israel thwarted cyber hackers who attempted to attack several of the country's hospitals on Wednesday night, the government's National Cyber Bureau announced Thursday.

According to the Israeli cyber defense authority, various computers were infected during the breach, however they were tended to immediately and there was no lasting damage to the hospitals' infrastructure.

The affected hospitals were said to be routinely functioning following the cyber attack.

Israeli cyber security monitors who detected and stopped the hack have continued to monitor and tend to the incident.
