Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren said on Thursday that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was performing an important role in the possible renewal of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. "I know that Egypt is an honorable and influential country," said Oren. He added that there was a definite feeling of progress in the Middle East peace process.
