Thomas Joseph Gross, a resident of Herzliya, was arrested yesterday for murdering his mother in 2012 and will be extradited to the United States after a request by the US, according to Israeli media reports.

Gross is accused by the US of killing his mother in the early hours of January 9, 2012 by drugging her and stabbing her to death. He called 911 the next morning, claiming he had just found her body.
He will be brought to the Jerusalem District Court for a remand hearing before extradition.
