Israel's Rivlin meets India's Modi in Jerusalem

President Reuven Rivlin met with visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday morning in Jerusalem.

The two met on the second day of Modi's historic Israel visit - the first of a sitting Indian prime minister.

Modi was due to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later on Wednesday for a closed-door meeting in the capital before the two leaders hold a ceremony in which they are due to ink bilateral agreements between their two nations.

Also on Wednesday, the Indian leader was scheduled to meet with opposition leader Isaac Herzog followed by a convening with several members of the Indian community in Israel.
