JNF opens renovated sports complex in Bnei Brak underprivileged neighborhood

The Jewish National Fund, in collaboration with the Italian Jewish Community and the municipality of Bnei Brak, renovated and upgraded a sports complex for the children of the city's underprivileged neighborhood of Pardes Katz this week.
The initiative was taken after a television news report revealed the precarious condition of the Judo club in the neighborhood, a few weeks ago. JNF representatives in Italy had decided to undertake the renovation and remodeling of the sports complex. The project cost about NIS 450,000, of which the JNF had invested NIS 350,000 and the Bnei Brak municipality added about NIS 100,000.
"JNF is the largest environmental organization in Israel and one of the largest in the world, but we are also a social organization, and we are working in many projects for the residents of Bnei Brak," JNF chairman Efi Shtenzler said in a statement.
