Jerusalem: Hundreds of haredim protest in Mea Shearim

Some 250 haredi demonstrators clashed with police on Saturday evening in the capital's Mea Shearim neighborhood after they attempted to block the nearby Shivtei Yisrael street and attacked a group of migrant workers, Jerusalem police said on Saturday.
The reason for the demonstration remained
unclear on Saturday night.
Officers who arrived at the scene were met with violence, as demonstrators hurled police barriers that had been set up to control the crowds at the officers.
A Jerusalem police spokesman confirmed that police dispersed the crowd using force, although no arrests were made. One officer was lightly injured during the melee, although he was treated at the scene and did not require further medial attention.
