A city-wide security alert in Jerusalem has been lifted Tuesday evening hours after the deployment of 3,500 Israel Police officers throughout the capital.

Police asked residents to be aware of their immediate surroundings during the alert while carrying on with their normal activities.

“There are no special instructions for residents, who should remain calm, alert, and continue their routines as normal,” a police spokesperson said shortly after the security alert was issued.
