The police allowed the Jews to enter the Temple Mount on the occasion of Jerusalem Day on Sunday, Ynet reported.

This is an exceptional permit, since Jews are generally forbidden to enter the compound during the last days of the month of Ramadan. The decision was made by the commander of the Jerusalem District, Major General Doron Yedid, at the end of a security assessment.
