The Jordanian Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Shahada announced a state of emergency on Tuesday evening in anticipation of an upcoming locust attack. The swarm came to Saudi Arabia from Yemen and is currently in the Hail city area , roughly 500 KM from the Saudi Arabia-Jordan border.
