Jordanian king: EU must continue supporting M.East talks

King Abdullah II of Jordan on Sunday highlighted his belief in the significance of the European Union's role in the Middle East peace process.

Abdullah made the comments as he met with Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas in Amman.He told Droutsas that it is important that the union continues supporting the efforts to restart the direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

The king also called for pressure to be put on Israel to end unilateral actions, including construction on West Bank territories.
