Jordanian military plane crashes, pilot dies

Jordan says a military plane crashed during a training exercise and the pilot died in the crash. The national Petra news agency says a training plane belonging to the kingdom's air force suffered a mechanical failure during the exercise Tuesday. The agency cites an unnamed military official in its report. The pilot who died was identified as Maj. Sakher al-Kharabsheh. The report says a piloting student who was also on board survived the crash. No other details were provided.
