Judoka star Linda Bolder was eliminated from contention in the 2016 Rio Olympics Wednesday after being defeated by Spaniard Maria Bernabeu in the under 70 kg weight division.

Bolder began representing Israel in 2015 after following her husband to the country from the Netherlands and she quickly settled in the national team. She has yet to win a medal at a major competition for Israel.

Her highest achievement coming into Wednesday's contest was a Silver medal at the European Championships in 2013.
