Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked said on Wednesday that "as a Justice Minister and as a woman" today is a hard day for her and for the legal system.
"I have full confidence in the justice system," she said while speaking on Army Radio, "we will get to the bottom of this." The police arrested a senior lawyer on Wednesday and summoned two other suspects on suspicion of demanding sexual favors in exchange for judicial appointments. Two other suspects have been arrested, including a female judge from the center of the country.
